ISM introduces the Max Weld 1.5 Butt Welding machine to our line of spiral machinery. Butt welding, or butt fusion, is the process of connecting lateral parts that do not overlap – this technique is ideal because no other parts are needed and is perfect for producing special fittings. The process consists of slowing heating up the two weld ends and then conjoining them under a precise pressure. After the weld is stable, it is then ground down for a smooth finish.

Max-Weld 1.5 Butt Welder – Features Include:

  • Siemens PLC touch display
  • Automatic opening/locking of mounting system
  • Self-adjusting precision clamp system, directly cooled
  • Longitudinal TIG Weld
  • Precise axle control with integrated length measuring system, speed display and on-line change of the welding speed with automatic memory of the changed speed value
  • Two-piece side moving pneumatic centralizing jigs
  • Automatic opening of the mounting system and lock after the completion of the welding process
  • Adjustable pre-welding time
  • Adjustable gas flow before welding and postpurge gas/torch lifting time
  • Shielding grooved gas track according to the thickness of welded material
  • Flexible input of the starting point over the complete welding length possible
  • 2 stroke /4 stroke logic with crater filling
  • Movable operating section
  • Pneumatic security mandrel latch
